INDIGO will be presented at the ISCRAM 2012 International Conference on Information Systems for Crisis response and Management !
Talk to be held on Wednesday 25th between 10 - 12 AM.
The talk of the accepted short paper will present an innovative system for crisis management and training.
The system proposes an editable Common Operational Picture, based on an interactive 3D Geographical
Information System. This system can be simultaneously seen and edited through digital multitouch
whiteboards and mobile equipment such as tablets. These can share multimedia reports from the field to
command rooms, where a 3D photo navigation system displays real field visual information for decision
support. Tablets also offer a connection from trainers to trainees during a training session as well as
augmented reality possibilities to enrich the experience in the field. Moreover, underlying research findings
on crisis simulations and simulation technology are discussed.
INDIGO will be presented at the International Symposium on Crisis Management !
This talk will provide an overview of the use of simulation and virtual reality technologies in the field of homeland security as well as a presentation of the INDIGO project, a FP7 European RTD initiative initiated and coordinated by DIGINEXT that aims to develop and experiment an innovative system integrating the latest advances in these fields in order to homogenize and enhance both the operational preparedness and the management of an actual complex crisis. The INDIGO project is the follow-up of a previous European project, CRIMSON, that pioneered the use of these technologies in the field of homeland security.
IMMERSION will present INDIGO at the Laval Virtual 2012 conference !
IMMERSION will have a space dedicated to the INDIGO map table and let users play with the system and collect feedbacks to improve the system's interactions.
